Automation Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize automation systems within our manufacturing operations. The role will support operational efficiency, improve productivity, and ensure the reliability of automated production equipment in our AAC (Autoclaved Aerated Concrete) manufacturing facilities.

The Automation Engineer will work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and support digitalization of plant operations.

Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation systems to improve production efficiency, reliability, and quality. The role involves supporting PLC, HMI, instrumentation, and control systems, as well as troubleshooting automation issues in manufacturing operations.

Job Responsibilities

•Design, develop, and implement automation and control systems for manufacturing equipment and processes.

•Program and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems used in the plant. Able to understand the PLC logical sequence of the machines.

•Monitor automated systems performance and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.

•Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, productivity, and equipment reliability through automation.

•Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues related to automated machinery.

•Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new automation equipment and upgrades.

•Maintain documentation of control systems, electrical schematics, and automation processes.

•Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.

•Provide technical training and guidance to production and maintenance personnel.

•Participate in continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives within the plant.



Job Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electrical & Instrumental Engineering or a related field.

•Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial automation or manufacturing environment.

•Hands-on experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi).

•Familiarity with SCADA systems, HMI design, sensors, actuators, and industrial communication protocols.

•Knowledge of industrial control panels, electrical drawings, and instrumentation.

•Experience in manufacturing, building materials, or heavy industry will be an added advantage.

•Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

•Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

•Experience with industrial robotics or automated production lines.

•Knowledge of Industry 4.0, IoT integration, or data monitoring systems.

•Understanding of preventive maintenance systems and predictive maintenance technologies.
