Job Summary
Boilerman (Grade 1 / Grade 2) – AAC Plant
Responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the steam boiler system in the AAC (Autoclaved Aerated Concrete) plant to ensure a stable steam supply for the autoclave curing process and other plant operations. The Boilerman ensures safe, efficient, and compliant boiler operations in accordance with regulations from the Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia (DOSH).
Job Responsibilities
Operate and monitor steam boilers, steam distribution systems, and related equipment.
Ensure continuous and stable steam supply for AAC production processes, especially autoclave operations.
Conduct routine inspection of boiler systems, pumps, valves, pipelines, and safety devices.
Monitor boiler operating parameters such as pressure, temperature, water level, and fuel supply.
Perform boiler blowdown, water treatment checks, and routine maintenance activities.
Identify and troubleshoot boiler system issues to prevent downtime.
Maintain daily boiler operation logs and maintenance records.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and boiler regulations set by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia (DOSH).
Coordinate with maintenance and production teams during plant operations or shutdown maintenance.
Report abnormal conditions or equipment failures to the supervisor or engineer.
Maintain housekeeping and safety in the boiler house area.
Work ad hoc hours, shift duties, and be on call when required to support plant operations and emergency situations.
Job Requirements
Possess a valid Boilerman Certificate (Grade 1 or Grade 2) issued by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia (DOSH).
Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating industrial steam boilers in manufacturing or plant environment (experience in AAC plant is an advantage).
Knowledge of boiler operation, steam systems, and boiler safety practices.
Familiar with boiler water treatment and basic mechanical systems.
Ability to monitor boiler instrumentation and operating parameters.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and maintain accurate operation records.
Willing to work shifts, ad hoc hours, and be on call when required.
Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
