Product Engineer

Responsible for preparing project Production Orders and ensuring all technical and design information is accurately processed for production. This role involves coordination with project teams, creating technical documentation, supporting prototype development, managing data in CAD systems, and providing technical solutions to ensure seamless project execution.  

• To prepare project Production Order (inclusive of typical, mock-up & show unit) and pass to purchasing department. 
• Check & verify accuracy and completeness of FCF information by liaise with project sales personnel, designer & site supervisor. 
• Produce components cut list, technical drawings & packing list for production or vendor. 
• Prepare CAD/CAM (CV) files for automated production line. 
• Prepare project Installation BQ to QS department. 
• Prepare Variation Order and Service Order (VO & SR) to respective department if necessary. 
• Keep all documents and records in a proper manner so that they are identifiable and retrievable. 
• Attend to vendor’s factory or site visit if necessary.  Provide Solutions for Technical Inquiries: 
• To check technical inquiries information and understand customer requirement by liaise with project designer. 
• Assist in sourcing for new/special materials and fittings. 
• Prepare Sample Requisition Form to produce prototype with the new/special materials and fittings. 
• To involve in process of prototype installation. 
• Review and evaluate the prototype. 
• Provide technical advice/solution for the inquiries. Build Modules in DesignCAD.
• Study modules and materials specs for the project.
• Input materials data into DesignCAD library. 
• Build components, carcasses, door panels in DesignCAD. 
• Build modules in DesignCAD prior to draw layout.  Plan schedule of build modules and monitor progress to meet PPC CV schedule.  Assist team leader for the procedures above. 
• Any other duty assigned by the management from time to time.
  

• Degree or Diploma in Industrial Designer or Engineering in any field or equivalent.
• Experience in customized furniture industry will be beneficial.
• Basic knowledge in AutoCAD and Excel.
• Able to work under tight schedule & high accuracy environment.
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently.
• Good communication skills.
